Sam K. Hale: Director, Producer, Writer

Sam K. Hale is a visual artist who works both in traditional and digital arts. Sam K. Hale had his first art exhibition in Kamakura, Japan before returning to the U.S. and earning his MFA in illustration from the San Francisco Academy of Art. Now living in L.A., he brings his stories to life through tabletop video puppetry.

Sam has received two Emmy nominations in art direction and animation, as well as multiple awards in theater design and puppetry. “Yamasong” is Sam’s directorial debut and he hopes to continue telling stories wrapped in the symbols of myth, folklore and the subconscious mind, while evoking themes familiar to our waking, everyday lives.
