Pacific Northwest tour

On Ensemble is on the road again. This time we in the Pacific Northwest. Out first stop was in Ashland Oregon where we had a great concert at the Unitarian Fellowship. Kelvin opened the concert with his new Meidoko Trio and played a great opening set. It was great to see some of the music that Kelvin has been working on in Ashland. A huge thank you goes out to Ariella for all her work in bringing us up to Ashland.

After Ashland we drove to Edmonds. It was a long drive but luckily we’ve found a way to pass the time. King of Tokyo in the car! It’s a perfect car game once you memorize the cards. It take just the right amount of concentration and there isn’t much to keep track of outside of each monsters victory points and hearts luckily there are these handy stat counters that fit nicely in the glove compartment.

The last few days we’ve been doing educational outreach programs in the Edmonds area. We’ve done a series of hands on workshops with a great group of 6th graders from Chase Lake Elementary. They will be performing with us at the all school assembly tomorrow. We’ve also been doing out standard lecture demo program at other local schools. To wrap up the residency we’ll be performing a full length concert at the Edmonds Center for the Arts this Friday. More coming soon!

My son saw you perform at his school (Mountlake Terrace Elementary) and loved it. We took the whole family this evening and thoroughly enjoyed your unique take to Taiko. Thanks for excellent time!
