Indonesian Arts Education Fellowship Program
From Jan 24th to Feb 16th Shoji will be in Yogyakarta as one of four fellows selected for UCLA/Center for Intercultural Performance’s Indonesian Arts Education Fellowship Program. The other three fellows are Bhrata Natyam dancer and teacher Viji Prakash, Kumu Hula Keali’i Ceballos and musician, educator, ethnomusicologist, and musical instrument maker Dr. Craig Woodson. The three week program is centered around working with middle school children in the Yogyakarta area along with performances, lecture demos and workshops for the greater community.
