First batch of 30 Days printed sets sent!
I’ve just returned from sending out the first batch of 30 Days to Better Shime printed sets! In preparing the mail-out, I also discovered how to convert apple boxes into mailing containers!
Thank you to everyone for the very positive response to the 30 Days to Better Shime program! There are at least a dozen of us making New Year’s resolutions to practice more. Join us and make January your month to practice shime!
There is still time to order your set! Or download the program free today!
Recycled packaging
I was very pleased to come upon a way to recycle some old apple boxes for the mail-out packaging for the 30 Days to Better Shime program.
Ironically, the most fragile part of the set is the bubble wrap (in the Bubble Calendar). I needed some kind of box that would protect the bubbles from getting squashed and popped. The Japanese Cultural Institute next door had a stack of apple boxes from fruit donated to the Institute. The problem was reworking them into the shape I needed. When I realized I could cut the boxes with a jig saw (rather than the laborious task of using a box cutter), it all came together.
