New On Ensemble website!

We’ve been promising it for months and now OnEnsemble.org is all new! Please take a look around and let us know your thoughts (feedback at OnEnsemble dot org). Find a broken link or typo and we’ll send you some love.

With this upgrade, we’re hoping to achieve a number of improvements:

  • clearer organization
  • updated On Ensemble information
  • new audio and video content
  • aesthetically-pleasing design
  • regular updates from all On Ensemble members much easier — powered by WordPress!

One of the most exciting new features to OnEnsemble.org is the opportunity for us to interact more with our audience. Leave us a comment on any of the posts and we’ll comment back! Hopefully this will be a great way to interact more with all of our OnEnsemble.org readers.

Another big change is that all four On Ensemble members will be making posts on a much larger range of topics. Along with the regular updates each member will have his own blog area on the site, the idea being that we’ll have more freedom to post on a much larger range of subjects.

Thanks, and enjoy the site!

I like your design, especially the way the header photo wraps around the top. Maz and Kevin are a bit hard to see, though. The light is not on either of their faces.

And, the text on your pages [see: about] has large holes in it when there is a photo. This is because the text is justified instead of flush left.

Hi Shoji! The new website looks beautiful! Man, you have been busy busy busy! How’re you holding up?

I was looking through all of your blogs, and when I got to Kelvin’s I tried to use the top menu bar (about : music : video : calendar : contact…) and it sent me here: http://blog.onensemble.org:8080/?page_id=2 and gave me an error message. Maybe something to check out?

Take care! (oh, and if you haven’t been to this site, check it out: http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/ . It’s a great website that my statistically and politically-savvy friend directed me to. It’s pretty dang cool, and they update it like mad. Goooo Obama!!!!)

    Love,
    Gwen

Hey Gwen, thanks for the comment and for catching that bug! We missed that one and it was the same on the other blog pages as well. Thanks for the link to the polling website as well. This election is crazy… Have faith come November it’ll be a whole new world! O-BA-MA, O-BA-MA, O-BA-MA!!!
